The classroom
In 1980, US Sweets founder Miss Sedi began making caramel apples for her first-grade students in Vancouver, Canada. What started as a simple act of kindness soon grew into a passion for crafting exceptional caramel apples.
Word got around. The orders started coming from places that weren’t the classroom.
Handmade, every batch
After immigrating to California, Miss Sedi kept perfecting her caramel signature recipe, sharing her creations with friends and family. That same approach — fresh, wholesome, and mouthwatering, made with quality ingredients and great care — has never changed. Using the same recipe, US Sweets has now sold more than five million caramel apples — gifts for weddings, birthdays, corporate events, and quiet weeknights at home. Beyond caramel apples, we craft small batches of fudge and chocolates to the same standard. No assembly line. No shortcuts.

Today we ship from a small kitchen in Dana Point. Our apples have travelled across the United States, into Canada, and as far as the United Kingdom — boxed by hand, packed the morning they leave.
We don’t franchise. We don’t outsource. The person who picks your apple is the person who finishes it. That’s been true since Miss Sedi’s first batch in Vancouver, and it’s still true today.
